Life story
December 26, 1936

Born in on December 26, 1936.

Mom was born early in the morning the day after christmas in 1936.  She was born in the house at 520 e washington st, morton, Illinois.  The story we heard growing up is that the doctor was to mad at his wife for making him stop and put on a clean shirt that he almost didn't arrive to deliver mom in time.  She also didn't have a birth certificate till she was a teen ager because the doctor forgot to fill one out.  I'm not sure how big she was at birth, but she was the fourth child born to Henry and Lou Ora Binkele.  We were also told that she was born around the same time the milk man came, so it must have been pretty early in the morning.

January 1, 1955

In 1955 mom met dad at the Morton Roller Rink.  They both used to love to skate, that's where they met and fell in love.  April 20, 1956 they got married. Dad also had his horse that he had to sell not too long after the marraige.  But he always did what he had to do to take care of his family.

April 25, 1956

Not too long after the marraige, Myra came along.  Dad was then given the choice.....either give back myra, or get rid of the horse.....he just couldn't afford both.......Well we still have myra

November 9, 1957

On November 9, 1957 Dad and Mom had another child Alan, He was the first boy and got to carry on the Wohl name.   What a proud moment that was for dad and mom.

August 6, 1960
On Ausust 6, 1960, Susie was born.  It was in the morning and she weighed 5 lbs 5 oz and was only 16 inches long.....she was such a tiny preemie.  But she loved to eat.....By the time she was 6 months old the doctor was putting her on a diet cuz she weighted in around 45 lbs.
December 6, 1964
Along comes another one.   The ambulance came and took mom away in the morning.  We had to wait for grandma to come and stay with us.   Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer was on the TV for the first time that year.  Mom called from the hospital to tell us about our new baby brother, but at that time, we didn't care....We'd never seen Rudolph before.  Mike came home from the hospital, after that we threw him a birthday party every week.....complete with cake (thanks to patty jordan) she had the easy back oven.
